Happy second day of Christmas!
Here's a little peek at our living room decorations…
…including a tree, decorated, phew!
These nesting balls are from my childhood. I love them so much. I think they are from Germany, and for a while I thought they were lost! Oh, I was upset about that…
These antlers we found in the woods, and by we I mean the boys.
Back to the kitchen: I got the greens for this garland from the downed branches. It's pretty but I have to admit that a fake one would not be now getting dried out and dropping needles all over everything.
Do you love this pork roast? Just go ahead and next time, wrap whatever you are making in bacon. It will be a lot better, I promise.

Oooo, the pork roll looks scrumptious. Glad you didn't loose your decorations – we have. Can't find them anywhere – opened the box where they should be and found sewing instead!

Well, when I say "a while" I mean a couple of decades. I really just couldn't find them, and what with moving a few times, I thought they maybe had been thrown out with the tree by mistake or something, long ago.I can't remember now when or how they turned up, but they did! And I was so glad. Maybe one of the girls remembers…anyone?

as to the real garland: my fake one is dropping little plastic needles all over, so go ahead and enjoy that yours is real!

Had to laugh at your bacon wrapped pork roast. At thanksgiving, we joined Mary and Alex in their NYC apt. She had a beautiful Kosher Turkey and wrapped it in bacon!!!

Annie, you console me strangely. It's at the point that if you touch it it RAINS needles. Hopefully it will last until New Year's Eve!Aleta, that is too funny!

I have just had a wonderful time looking through your blog. You have a beautiful family! Thanks for your sweet comments. Your tree is lovely and the roast looks delicious. I shall think about having two more kids, you make it look so easy!

Hello. I have similar antlers I found two years ago. I'd like to do something with them, but I cannot find an idea. Do you have a nice DIY project for these?Thank you.
